maple castle bowl

I wanted to play with the new jig I built for the lathe to hold a router and cut flutes so I mounted a bowl on the lathe and cut it to look like the top of a castle. Then I textured the grooves with a wood burner and then colored them with a metalic blue pen.
Dan I am going to try to put some photos on our club website along with possible uses of the jig. I just haven't had time to do it yet. I'll let everyone know as soon as I do. If you want something sooner e-mail me at johnclucas@charter.net

It's unique John. Now where's the King & Queen of the castle. How about a bowl full of chess pieces. Thanks for showing. GT

John,
Before I read your description I thought of a castle. I think you should do a series of these bowls, possibly some with deeper or even varied depths for the "valleys"
