Maple Leaf Tray

I had another request for a maple leaf tray and this is how it turned out. Couldn't bring myself to embellish it, as I liked the wood the way it was. The ends were cut off the blank first with a band saw and then touched up after it was turned. It's about 11" across at it's widest point. Finished with Tung Oil and Beall buffed.
Thanks for looking and all comments welcome, Don L.
I don't blame you for not wanting to touch that wood, it has beautiful grain. Well done Don.

very nice Don

I like a bit of carving on a piece like this, but I think you definitely made the right call with that beautiful piece of wood. It forces your eye to the grain. Very nice.
