This was a hollow log I had looked at for several months and wondering if I could turn it safely. I search the internet for “turning a hollow log” and was unable to find anything. Walked by it one day and decided to try it.Unable to get above 650 rpm’s due to balance and was limited on shape due to the hollow part on the inside.Decided to paint the outside since the grain was nothing special, leave the inside natural after cleaning it up, and added a small hollow form to the inside.I have mixed emotions about this piece, part of me likes it and part of me doesn’t. Size is 12-1/4” tall x 10-1/2
