My Strength and My Shield

This is another turning that is in my Shield Series. It was turned from a slab of Red Coolibah Burl and is 12 ¼”W x 13 ¾”H x 2”T. The stand is made from maple and has been painted with black lacquer. The title for this shield is “My Strength and My Shield” (Psalm 28:7). This will be at the show we are doing this weekend—Urban Artist Market in Dallas,TX. The two black areas were stippled using a pyrography technique. The turning has been dipped in a blend of oils and buffed with a coat of carnauba wax
