Nature in Reverse

This is a continuation of the concept of accentuating live edges, but in reverse. This oak burl vessel is 6" long by 5" wide. It features a weather worn stem with swirling texture, which I accentuated with black acrylic paint (as also the inclusions). It is sanded through 1000 grit and finished with walnut oil. No carving or texturing. Nature added these effects.
