Nature's Reflections #01

This piece features a top natural edge as well as a solid, natural bottom. It is crafted from a piece of hollow Boxelder which has a touch of flame around the rim, spalting, and wonderful chetoyance from the vertical lines of figuring. I harvested this wood from the dead top of a large Boxelder. It has a mirrored stand with clear acrylic rod which susspends the piece and reflects a view of the bottom and also reflects light upward illuminating the base. The natural edges of the turned piece also "reflect" one another... thus "Nature's Reflections Double Live Edge." It stands 8" high and is just under 5" wide.
