I love the shape and the carved effect that created the overlapping petals. You should give three-point multi-axis turning a try. It creates three-sided spiraling shapes that lend themselves to carved organic shapes like your 'Opening Blum'. Here are some examples:

I like the idea. But really like a more rounded shape, whereas with three point turning it would have to be a very large diameter to give a rounded feel. I wonder if carved on the transition between side would do that?
Here's two examples where I cared the petals into the center section, resulting in a rounder opening. This may suggest some different approached. Keep creating these organic shapes, they are very nice. Enjoy!
