Pierced Walnut Flame Vessel

Pierced Walnut Flame Vessel

This thin wall pierced claro flame vessel is probably the only dark colored wood piercing you will ever see me attempt. It is hard to get any contrast between pyrographed illustration and black walnut. The inside was airbrushed with a gold and then transulcent red airbrush paint. One set of strands on the outside is black and the other has some irridescent gold pigment mixed with tung oil. The overall finish is tung oil. It is 5 inches high and 2.5 inches in diameter.
Wow. That’s really nice!
