Relic in the Bark

This 4-inch diameter relic of a small bronze cup was found embedded in the outer bark of a Sapele tree in the African forest. It was carefully uncovered and a small section of the tree was removed and turned to highlight the as-found beauty of the relic in the bark. Well, it sounds like a good story – doesn’t it?
