Spalted Hackberry Bowl

Spalted Hackberry Bowl

This is a spalted Hackberry bowl made from a piece of wood I received from a wood trade. It's 13" long X 3" tall with some crushed stone around the inside rim. Finished with sanding sealer, then a Tung oil/poly/mineral spirits mix and Beall buffed. Hope I did it proud. Thanks for looking and all comments welcome, Don L.
Wow! Unless you gave up a fine piece in the trade you might should not show this to the person you got it from. Very beautiful wood and nice turning job. The stones and the groove really bring the "bowl" or "cavity" into focus.

of all the pieces you have posted lately, this one is my favorite. How lovely. Great turning of spectacular wood

Thank you, Michelle, Joe and Chuck. I appreciate the comments. I hope the other gentleman liked his wood too. I never did find out. Ut oh!
