AAW August 2010 Contest

Walnut crotch platter, 9.25" X 1.5". Was going to be a bowl, but the feather was so nice on top of this blank that I flattened it out to a platter so I wouldn't lose the good stuff. Finished with tung oil and buffed with tripoli and Renaissance.
the color variations in the wood make for great interest & I like that you turned it in a simple manner..letting the wood "show off"

Thanks, all. I actually uploaded an improved photograph of this platter. My photography, like my turning, is a work in progress.
