"Tempest"

This is a piece that I have been playing with for about 7 months. Total of about 16 hours in on it. Maple burl hollow form, carved, pyrography (hatch marks), honey locust thorns (feet), chestnut stain (black) under black gesso. Final finish yet to be determined. 6" tall x 5 1/4" diameter. The design was inspired by Terry Scott & his work when he came to visit earlier this year from New Zealand.
Hey Chris ,how is it . This goes back a while .I still have found memories of working on this piece with you .I hope to get up to the states again next year hopefully we can catch up
Cheers
