Twice Turned Bowl

This ones name is Fred ,lol -was joking with my wife and saying that we needed to start naming our pieces and have a little story with them and i asked what we should name this one - at the exact same time, Fred came out of our mouths ,lol -so Fred it is. Fred here is the First one of these twice turned bowls for me - He comes from a Maple burl family, his scalloped edge developed in the first turning and then he was rotated and turned as he developed his final shape. Amazingly enough right after that Fred sprouting some carved feat. Fred was inspired by a recent club demo by Rudolph Lopez (Thanks Rudy for the awesome Demo)-these are fun and Fred here is light as a feather weighing in at just 1.6 ounces -i see more of these in my future for sure. Fred grew to 3 1/2" tall x 8" Long and he has developed a natural oil finish that was slowly polished out with time.
