Walnut Feather Crotch Platter

Walnut Feather Crotch Platter

This platter was interesting to make. It is free wood, found in the burn pile at our local sawmill. As you guys know by now, I don't use salvaged woods haha! But this piece was worth a shot. It had potential and I thought the figuring would be nice. Turned and finished with wax then was buffed. Size is approx. 9 inches in diameter and 1 inch thick. So it turns out, it really has nice figure and color for a free log!
