White Oak Box - Stonewall Jackson Prayer Tree

This is a small box turned for a very nice lady - Sylvia M. who was instrumental in our recovery of the approx. 350 year old Stonewall Jackson Prayer tree.

This is a do-over as the first one cracked big time, but this one was rough turned, soaked in DNA, wrapped in paper, placed in a paper bag, and weighed daily till point of stabilization.

Just a simple box as a momento for her efforts.
Chuck, you are correct about the cracking.......this wood is the worst I have ever worked with for cracking......worse than apple!

I forgot to mention......the finish is several thin coats of antique oil.
