A simple wooden vice

I found I needed a different type of vice to hold some of my bowls for embellishments, especially the larger ones. So I came up with this plywood and Ironbark with a capacity of 200x200 or 8x8"IMG_2821.JPG
 
The backing plate in 1" plywood is fixed to the metal frames of the bench by Buildex screws, might have gotten carried away there as I used a lot them :) The locking set up is as you can see just a 1/2" UNC screwed rod. There are a couple plates that slide in order to give some support to the Ironbark jaw IMG_2816.JPG
