I found I needed a different type of vice to hold some of my bowls for embellishments, especially the larger ones. So I came up with this plywood and Ironbark with a capacity of 200x200 or 8x8"

Cool. a nice take off an old style wooden Knee Vise / Leg Vise , scaled down to bench size... I like it.
How did you attach the vise to the bench?

The backing plate in 1" plywood is fixed to the metal frames of the bench by Buildex screws, might have gotten carried away there as I used a lot them 
The locking set up is as you can see just a 1/2" UNC screwed rod. There are a couple plates that slide in order to give some support to the Ironbark jaw
