As it applies to woodturning, what is the definition of "embellishment"?

Yes, wood turning isn't the same as fine art, but if it's more than drawer pulls and staircases.....it becomes more than craftsmanship.....it's definitely evolved to something that is an art in it's own right. This is an art that is not comparable to the traditional fine arts. I feel it should be separated into categories, because the main appeal of the finished piece can be the result of many different disciplines. All these disciplines can and do require entirely different skill sets, as well as levels of creativity and degree of appeal to the senses.
