Big Poplar bowl

I got that poplar bowl done that I was using the cabinet scraper on. I had built a flat plate vacuum chuck with 2mm craft foam as a seal and got to experience the joy of vacuum chucking. Only needed about 7” vacuum to hold the bowl very securely. I finished it with three coats of Osmo finish.

Very nice bowl. You captured the contrasting grain colors to complement each other. BTW, the wine glass shows you have visited our fair state. Don't indulge any more but wineries and craft breweries are a big thing here now.

Yes we picked up some bottles of wine from Sugarland Cellars, one in particular Martha Jane Rose a muscadine wine was some of the best wine Ive ever tasted.

Ruth's Chris Steakhouse??? Wife checked into one that opened a few years ago. Two of us would have a tab of $150. That buys a lot of groceries....or a couple of turning tools.

Id never bother with Ruth’s Cris, they think too highly of thier food. While it may be good I can be just as happy with just as good a steak elsewhere.
