Hello folks. 1st post. I am receiving my first lathe here next week and have jumped on here to learn as much as I can. My shop is currently under construction, but I’ll drop pics as soon as i finish it. It is half of my 2 car garage.

Welcome. There is a wealth of information here. I’ll pass along my standard advice. 1. Join the nearest woodturning club. I’m confident that the dues will be a good investment. 2. I recommend getting professional instruction. I’m confident that you will climb the learning cliff much more quickly with instruction than trying to teach yourself. (You don’t know what you don’t know).
