The remote for my air filter is dead making the unit hard to use. They no longer make the remote. Just wondering if anyone has had this problem and has found a place to get a used replacement or maybe a universal remote that would work.
Thanks,
Jeff

If you can get the air filter to run, you can go to Amazon and purchase a remote switch. You plug your air filter into the switch which is plugged into the wall and then there is a remote on/off that will power the air filter when you want it. I have one on my 110V air compressor and it works just fine. I believe the cost last year was something like $18.
The item I purchased was : BN-Link outdoor remote control outlet plug....15 amp.
If I knew how to provide a link, I would, but that is beyond my computer capabilities.

I used the "Lone Ranger" which last time I bought back ups, they came from Penn State. They are radio frequency controls so you don't have to be pointing at the DC to get it to turn on. I did lose a remote to the shavings heap once, but learned to keep them up and out of the way.

You can just set the unit to be on and wire an outlet beside it to a wall switch. I have both of mine set up this way tto circulate air from the mini split as well as clean the air.
Unfortunately, my unit does not have a switch on it. It has a momentary button that you press and that turns it on. So it will not stay on after a remote unit and it turns it off I’d still have to get to the unit and turn it back on. Thank you for that info though.

Bypass the internal switch so that the fan is always on. Then any of the remote solutions will work.

Well Mike Just beat me to it . My Jet would not work with anything other than the remote and if power is shut down then the remote has to be used to turn on. I opened it up (did not really need all that speed adjustment) and direct wired it to always on and plugged it and my old Powertech unit into the same switch so I turn them on at the door.
