"Look Poppa," and the 3-year old thumps the front, leaving the face undamaged. From the clinging dog hair, I made the right decision to keep it out of the sawdust palace. She has to wear her polycarbonates to work at her bench. Has her own ear defenders for when I'm at the saw, too.

Gotta start 'em young.

Smart little girl. You are right... start them young when it comes to protective gear.
 
When they're young, they're also not shy about reminding you if you forget.
