Just having a ball with my little mini lathe and after a breif learning curve and giving away lots of my mistakes, I am finally starting to make some pieces that look aceptable. (at least to me). Here is a little keepsake box I made this afternoon. It is ony 3.5" diameter.

I am certainly open for critique on my turning of this type of project. I was just reading elsewhere that the shape I made this one leaves much to be desired. I am wondering about opinions from seasoned turners here how much thinner I should have gone with the middle fat part that I have and what proportion should the base have have been smaller than the top diameter.
