First try at brick pattern with the CNC

I thought I would see how it would work out doing a brick-type pattern with my bolt-on CNC. Working through some things, bit it is getting there.

It is very clean. I'm cutting into the piece with an endmill so it is a bit fuzzy. I need to try out some downcut endmills as those should give better edges. I have figured out how to adjust the cutting depth to get different relief amounts.

I use a router cutter to make this type of pattern they are grooving cutters and come in various widths, I have 2mm, 3mm and 4mm.

My first test was done with a home made cutter, the bottom one. Just a piece of HSS in a turned silver steel holder.
