I have five "old growth ironwood" bowl blocks that I'm willing to give away as practice bowls to three newbies. These blocks cost me about $15 apiece, but I decided not to pursue them. They are 6x6x2 and are about 24% MC. Heavily waxed. Two max per order. (Assuming two newbies will want two blocks, one newbie will get one! :D) You pay the shipping......I'll have to check the box sizes at the Post Office next time I go, so to get the best rate. I can take a paypal payment, or your check by snail mail is fine.......:)

Send me your address by private message, and we'll work out the particulars.......;)

I would love to turn that into chips, and maybe even end up with a bowl!

Actually, strike that. I have wood to practice with and an oak tree laying in the yard to cut up for more. I'll leave that last bowl blank to another who has less available good turning stock.

Very nice offer though!
