For Sale: Conover 16" lathe from 1987. 1.5 hp GE K-3 dc motor and controller. Two 12" tool rests and a 6" tool rest and banjo. Two MT3 drive spurs. New bearings and seals were installed when the present owner purchased it from the original owner. All of the original paperwork and notes from 1987 are included. Currently set up with a short bed for bowl or short spindle or pen turning. It can be made as long or short as you want with your choice of materials for the beams for the bed. Left hand wheel signed by Ernie Conover. The cast iron legs are about 75# each. The bed can be broken down to four pieces, two thick angle iron pieces and two manufactured laminated header material beams. Broken down it can be moved in a car, van or pickup. $800 with pick up in South County St. Louis (Oakville). Possible local delivery.
