I purchased an aluminum Hold Fast Spindle extender. When I installed it on my lathe with a chuck attached and turned on my lathe the chuck wobbled badly. Has anyone else had this kind of experience with this brand of spindle extender.

I suggest you take a short video and send it to Hold Fast. It doesn't make any difference that others have had success.
I'm not sure I would want an aluminum spindle extender. Oneway makes steel versions in several sizes and their machining is reliable in my experience. As Richard said, Holdfast should replace the one you have.

I would suggest cleaning the mating surfaces of the extender and chuck abd try it again. If it still doesn't work call holdfast.
