makers mark

[Jack Morse]

I am trying to identify the maker of a bowl.

It has JHM 85 the J & M are connected by the bar of the H and 85 is inside of the M it also has D47 to the right of the M.

mmm, maker's mark, on of my favorites. can gout get a scan of the mark, it sound familiar but having trouble seeing it. I am guessing the 85 is the year it was turned.

Not sure but It may be the gentleman that did the article for the AAW Journal and judged the online contest on layered bowls. I know he numbers all his work and keeps recorda of who purchased them. Jim McPhail(sp) is his name.
