Has anyone read, and know the location of, an article discussing headstock (or headstock lock clamp) casting failures on the Powermatic 3520A(?)?

Seem to remember it was the locking plate rather than the main casting. Fix/revision was to go to a steel (rather than cast iron) plate.

Your correct Mark, it was the cast iron locking plate below the headstock. That was taken care of a long time ago. That and the tool post locking levers were the first modifications I was aware of.
