This one is the basic holder - just a round dowel in the post and a scrap of wood screws onto it, holes drilled through for mounting bolt (and you can see the bolt at the end where I made a threaded hole to hold the bolt when not in use)

another view showing how it is bolted on (just a 1/4-20 bolt , lockwasher, and flatwashers for spacing, just snugged in finger tight)

and the resulting engraving (I just finished that today and went back out to the shop to get pictures, so I re-mounted it to give an idea..)

The app is quite basic and they haven't updated it in a while.

Their last "update" made the buttons and their labels nearly the same color, so they're really hard to read. Had I not memorized them first, I'd really be struggling with it.

It does what I need it to do and it has lasted me for quite a few years now. (despite my dusty/messy shop environment) It has been handy for signing work, but also artwork/inscriptions inside of pieces and some repeated indexed designs around rims.
