The Turning of the week is - Padauk yo-yo & vertical display - by Ed Davidson.
Ed is the master of yo-yos. I’m fascinated by Ed’s yo-yos and stands and this one is elegant.
Ed’s extraordinary skills in design, combining materials, turning, finishing, engraving, and style are evident in this piece.

Made from African Padauk with Malachite stone embellishment. The display measures 2.75" wide at the base and 6" tall. The yo-yo measures 2.25" x 1.40" and weights 44 grams...perfectly balanced one piece design (no glue holding sides and axle together). The yo-yo's logo pogs are made from rainbow scratch-paper, with laser engraved art, covered with a thin glass-like coating of epoxy resin and color shifting glitter.
