This is true, Tim.

A lot of videos should never have been made public the first place. New turners have a hard time distinguishing between the good and bad.

There is a disconnect somewhere between freedom of expression, and information that truly helps in a way that propels the viewer to think and improve.

I think this video is one that " may not be particularly un-safe for well experienced turners......"

The squirrel gets too many mini catches. I avoid Cutting toward the ways, cut toward the headstock for a catch free experience.

Richard Raffan's books are classics and these two short videos give a nice introduction to his way of turning. I find the videos to be a joy to watch.
