For the past year, I've been playing with the idea of adding an expensive UV printer to my shop, but was reluctant to get into this new, and fairly complex tech. Finally decided to not buy one of these desktop monsters, but instead...farm out my designs to someone who's made the leap and figured out the process. Here's the first two examples of a UV print (ever) on a lathe turned yo-yo. Hard Maple and Swiss Pear woods.
