Has anyone made or seen a wooden menorah that is lathe turned?

One of my four 12 year students is Orthodox Jewish, and bringing home a wooden Christmas tree is not viable or appropriate.

Long ago I made one w 8 hand turned candlesticks of the same height but different woods, one more slightly taller for the shamash and pinned them together. One can make the candle sticks as plain or fancy as you wish. Ask him if he prefers oil or candles.
