Afrormosia plate

7.25 diameter, finish is Teak Oil
Comments welcome
Jim,

I like these last two plates, the Bubinga and this Afrormosia. The teak oil finish looks very attractive on them and shows off the figure nicely. I am afraid I am not as fond of the earlier pieces with the sprayed lacquer though. AThe wood and form are pretty, but in the photos the lacquer makes them look artificial and too shiny. That is a personal preference though.

How do you like Teak Oil on a surface that will hold food? Does it impart any taste? Should be easy enough for the owners to recoat it as needed.

Thanks for sharing these.

Dave

I have not had any negative comments on the Teak Oil. I really think most people that buy the plates do not actually use them for food.
