Ancient Tea

This my first time turning Ancient Kauri, White Bait, (which is 45,000 yrs old) thanks to Alby Hall. l can see why this wood is so sought after. It's wonderful to turn and sands to a beautiful finish. The chatoyancy, and the lines from where it gets its name, which unfortunately does not show in this photo, really makes this an outstanding wood.

This teapot is 5 1/2" x 3 1/2 " finished with acrylic spray and buffed.

Comments and critiques more than welcome. Mike
