Bull Oak bowl

This has to be one of the prettiest pieces of timber I have turned 150mm diameter 2mm thick
Bull Oak
Comments appreciated
Terry - Common names for trees can be somewhat confusing around the world, but I think that what you call Bull Oak is called Australian Pine here in my location (Casuarina sp). I've never encountered a piece as nicely figured as what you are showing though. Maybe it doesn't get the nice figure when it grows upside down (up here in the Northern half). ;)

I always look forward to your pieces because they are so wildly imagninative and creative. What happened here? It's a great piece and nicely executed, but it's so traditional. Oh well, the beautiful wood gets to take center stage and that's certainly appropriate here.

Great work!!

Terry,
A beautiful bowl is just that, regardless of what wood is used. In this case, the wood is icing on the cake, and the entire combination is spectacular!
Kurt:)
