Coolibah Lidded Vessel

Coolibah Lidded Vessel

10"x9". Coolibah, Maple and Ebony. Lacquer finish. I thought the maple picked up the sapwood edge well. Comments? Box or lided vessel?
Box... Lidded Vessel?

Heck Gary, I thought it was a top for a minute or two...

This thing looks like it is floating. And the finish is second to none. The colors of the Maple do pick up the sapwood on the edge. Finial is too tall for my taste though. But nice work as always. You've got a fine touch...
