Fireplace or Gallery?

Walnut Hollow Form, sliced and re-assembled with Walnut pewa. It's about 6" tall.

I was aiming for a V or X slice, but the bandsaw was messed up and I got a much wider gap than I'd wanted.

I don't really like it, probably because I know how I screwed it up. My wife doesn't like it either.

But before I burn it, I thought I'd ask you all what you think - should it go to the fireplace or the gallery?
This is great. I think the wavy separation gives a lot of interesting variation to the shape (and light as it passes through at different angles), and given the cut is still fairly perpendicular to the vessels axis, it's still well-grounded and retains a pleasant symmetry.

Love the form. Not crazy about the "X" slice. Maybe if you sand the two implied pointy spots (x4) to a gradual curve it might improve the flow of the curve. Just my 2¢. (worth even less with inflation). :)
