Hawaiian Mango Platter

Hawaiian Mango Platter

The LOML and I plan to migrate to Hawaii in a year or two, we love it and have a lot of friends there.
I have collected a fair amount of wood from there, this is one part of a rather large plank I got on one of my last trips.
I am told that the boards had sat outside for years (lucky me).
I made this as a gift for our last (most recent) Anniversary - last month (better late than never?)
Height: 1 3/4 inches
Diameter: 14 inches
Finish: VanAqua 480 polyurethane

Excellent looking platter. Didn't figure you as a surfer dude though.

Thanks Bill, Jake,
I started surfing at 16 years old in Ft Lauderdale FL. I've been surfing ever since. Living in upstate NY makes getting waves a real challenge, besides, I don't like cold water...
When I moved up here to be with LOML, I started going to Hawaii even more. Been three years now, we're saving up for the move.
I didn't start out fat but I'm far from the heaviest surfer that I know, and most of those guys surf much better than I do, and I get by just fine.
