Pierced Bowl

Pierced Bowl

Turned from a block of hard maple. Pierced. Burnt umber acrylic paint on base and inside bowl. 23k gold leaf in center. 11" dia x 3" tall.
Quite lovely. Does the bowl comprise just the center hollow with the piercing on just an extended rim? A photo of the underside would be appreciated.

Don-

A real eye catcher. I'm with Norm, would like to a shot of the underside or from the shide.

Thanks for the kind words. I've added a few more views of this piece. As you can see, the visual effects vary with background color and lighting.
