quilted burr maple box

A simple box on a home made painted beech stand

4.5" long by 2" at its widest point
George, I love this form, the beautiful burl and the stand that fits perfectly. Suggestion: Instead of having the joint so noticeable, what about having a black bead between the two box halves. Just a thought. It is still a stunning piece

Thank you- I was also thinking about a thin black line between both halves- i am going to try a threaded one and use a blackwood connector for the threads and leave a small band of blackwood visible
