The piece is actually Black Gum with Purple heart. Hollow vessel-overall size of the bottom is 2 1/4 inches tall and 5 7/8 inches wide. has 1/2 inch Purple Heart disk that is 2 1/4 inches wide. The top is 3 inches tall overall and 3 1/4 inches wide. Thin walled, has 5 coats of high gloss Wipe-on-Poly and then buffed on the Beal buffing system.
