13.5"x1.5" Yellow Poplar. Finished with wipe on poly and buffed.
How did you do the texture on the rim? I really like it!

Nice piece. (And the wood is pretty too.)
 
Brian and John, I used a Sorby texturizing tool, with the widest wheel. First with the wheel held about 45deg. right tilt, then 45deg. left tilt.
