Ascending Spiral Twist

This half-twist bowl was turned from Maple using a 3-point, multi-axis technique on the upper half and traditional on-center turning technique on the lower half. There are three carved feet on the bottom. The ascending spiral of organic-like petals were carved and shaped using Microplane tools. More information can be found on my technique for creating these half-twist bowls by searching on 'Half Twist Bowl' on YouTube. Size is 4 1/2 inches in height and 3 1/2 inches in diameter. Finish is Watco oil buffed on the Beall system.
