Natural Edge Twisted Live Oak Bowl

This twisted turning was done with a three-point off-axis method. The wood is live oak, a wood that provides some beautiful grain patterns. The natural edge of the bark was left at bowl's opening to add textural contrast. Finish is Watco oil, buffed on the Beall system. Diameter is 5 1/2 inches and height is 5 inches.

I agree not Hackberry, look like oak. Beautiful work . Would love to see video on turning this

Thanks John, you are the second person to point out that this is not hackberry. I'm correcting the title. I usually don't turn oak, but this grain pattern makes me want to do some more oak.
