Button box

Since my mother is a seamstress I make something out of buttons every once in a while. I thought I would try this idea out. The buttons are glued into a custom fit groove with a small nail as a dowel to make sure they don't come out. Many layers of colored thread went through the holes. The box and lid are cherry and the giant button is Cocobolo.
