Large Walnut Vase
Nino G. Cocchiarella

Large Walnut Vase

Won a crotch Walnut chunk of wood at a local AAW meeting. There was a third branch, smaller and very dead in the bifurcation. That became the center of this Vase. 13 x 6".
That was where the dead and smaller branch was. I just went right down the center. That was end grain with knots all the way. Finished with linseed oil (thinned w/mineral spirits ) and the a couple coats of Mahoney’s wax finish.
