Sorry for the photos--I need to spend some time creating a photo box setup. For now, here it is; this is roughly 11" in diameter, turned out of the base of a red maple that was removed for a fellow turner's shop expansion. Boy am I glad he gave it to me! Sold it the moment I showed it to someone!
