Serial 21058 Detail

The 2MM Allen wrench shows the path of the pith from the center of the cup through the edge of the base, into the side of the waste piece and out the center of the waste piece. The blank on the right is from the same stem that the goblet was made from and notice the lavender annual rings. When cutting into fresh wood there is a pleasant smell similar to that of camphor.
